My name is Brittany Naville, and I am so excited to be teaching 2nd grade this year. After experiencing the SMK magic with my own children, I decided to listen to God's call and leave stay at home mom life for the classroom. Prior to staying at home, I taught for six years at St. Mary's of New Albany. I earned both my bachelor's and master's degrees in Elementary Education with a concentration in reading.
I continue to be very passionate about reading research and the world of literacy. My classroom is a place where read-alouds from a variety of genres occur multiple times a day. My students experience numerous opportunities to become mathematicians, readers, and authors. Our classroom community is valued and cultivated through meetings and discussions. As a former fitness instructor, I embed activity into our day as much as possible.
I am a product of Catholic education, graduating from OLPH and Providence High School. I married my high-school sweetheart, Adam, and we are blessed with three minions: Madelyn, Harper, and Christian. We attend St. Mary's of Navilleton and enjoy camping, hiking, and traveling. When I'm not being "momma", I practice yoga, love to read and knit, and enjoy cooking and brushing up on my Spanish.
I'm looking forward to an amazing year back in the classroom and feel blessed to call SMK my home.
