SAMANTHA COMBS

3rd Grade Teacher
Email:  [email protected]

Hello! My name is Samantha Combs. I am excited to be teaching third grade here at St. Mary of the Knobs. Catholic Education has been a huge part of my life. I am a lifelong member at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, where I attended grade school. I am also a graduate of Providence High School. I believe that Jesus should be put first in every aspect of our lives! Especially at school!

After graduating high school, I attended Indiana University Southeast where I received my Bachelor’s in Elementary Education. I have experience in teaching Kindergarten and am currently teaching third grade. I have always dreamed of being a teacher and I feel blessed to spend every day with my students at SMKCS!

Third grade is a very important year for our students. It is a year for growth and development in our learning abilities and in our faith. I believe that students learn best when they feel loved, safe, and respected. We establish our classroom community so that we may pray, comfort, and celebrate each other’s successes, big and small!

SMKCS is a very special place to be! Stop in to see all the great things happening in our classroom every day!

You can also find our class on Facebook!

KIMBERLY PARIS

2nd Grade Teacher
Email:  [email protected]

My name is Kimberly Paris and I am excited to be teaching a Second-grade class here at Saint Mary of the Knobs Catholic School.

I first began work in school when my oldest son was in second grade and my twin son and daughter began kindergarten. I went from

lunchroom monitor to instructional assistant and became the interpreter for a deaf teacher.  Next, I directed an after school enrichment program, followed by several years of working with autistic children. I returned to school to finish my degree in Anthropology and earned my master’s degree in elementary education. Most of my life has been spent in a classroom.

I enjoy involving my students in various hands-on experiences using art, singing, signing, knitting, storytelling, and community involvement to enhance our learning. We will be busy, creative and ever learning in the fifth grade throughout the school year.
