Hello! My name is Mindy Koerner and I am the 2nd grade teacher at St. Mary of the Knobs. This is my 16th year at St. Mary of the Knobs and my 23rd year as a teacher. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Indiana University and I obtained my Masters in Elementary Education from Ohio State. I believe in lifelong learner, and that I am never too old to try something new. I work to enhance this belief by striving to continuously educate myself through workshops, articles, literature, and collaboration with other educators.

I am a very proud aunt of two wonderful nephews Benjamin and Elliott, and my niece Adeline. I have earned my fostering license, and have been blessed to have been able to welcome foster children into my home. I am honored to work in a school where God is first in all we say and do. I take pride in getting to know each one of your children individually, in order to meet their needs.  I work diligently to create an environment that promotes learning in innovative and exciting ways. Thank you for the opportunity to work with your child and share God's word.

I'm excited about our year together!

My name is Kimberly Paris and I am excited to be teaching a Second grade class here at Saint Mary of the Knobs Catholic School.

I first began work in school when my oldest son was in second grade and my twin son and daughter began kindergarten. I went from

lunch room monitor to instructional assistantand became the interpreter for a deaf teacher.  Next, I directed an after school enrichment program, followed by several years of working with autistic children. I returned to school to finish my degree in Anthropology and earned my master’s degree in elementary education. Most of my life has been spent in a classroom.

I enjoy involving my students in various hands-on experiences using art, singing, signing, knitting, storytelling and community involvement to enhance our learning. We will be busy, creative and ever learning in the fifth grade throughout the school year.
