Hello! My name is Mindy Koerner and I am the 2nd grade teacher at St. Mary of the Knobs.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Indiana University. I obtained my Masters in Elementary Education from Ohio State, and continue to receive credit hours beyond my Masters. I have taught Preschool-2nd Grade, and classes at the college level.

I believe that I am never too old to try something new.  I work to enhance this belief by striving to continuously educate myself through workshops, articles, literature, and collaboration with other educators,.

I take pride in getting to know each one of your children individually, in order to meet their needs.  I work diligently to create an environment that promotes learning in innovative and exciting ways.

I am honored to work in a school in which God is first in all we say and do. This truly is a calling for me, and I am honored to be a part of the SMK family. Thank you for the opportunity to work with your child and share God's word.

I'm excited about our learning year together!

My name is Kimberly Paris and I am excited to be teaching a Second-grade class here at Saint Mary of the Knobs Catholic School.

I first began work in school when my oldest son was in second grade and my twin son and daughter began kindergarten. I went from

lunchroom monitor to instructional assistant and became the interpreter for a deaf teacher.  Next, I directed an after school enrichment program, followed by several years of working with autistic children. I returned to school to finish my degree in Anthropology and earned my master’s degree in elementary education. Most of my life has been spent in a classroom.

I enjoy involving my students in various hands-on experiences using art, singing, signing, knitting, storytelling, and community involvement to enhance our learning. We will be busy, creative and ever learning in the fifth grade throughout the school year.
