Hello, my name is Debbie Polston and I am so excited to be part of the wonderful teaching staff here at SMKCS! This will be my second year teaching one of our morning Pre-K classes and my third year as Childcare Coordinator.

Originally from New York State, I received my degree in Early Childhood Education in 1988. I taught Pre-K there for 1 ½ years before moving to Georgia where I taught Pre-K for 4 years until I decided to stay home and raise my children.   During my “retirement” I homeschooled and ran an in-home childcare center.

I live in Floyds Knobs with my husband and 4 of our 7 children whose ages range from 26 to 8. We are active members of this parish and have an 8th and 3rd grader here at SMKCS. We feel very blessed to call this parish home.

I truly believe that all children are a gift from God and I feel honored and blessed to be a part of their lives through teaching and our childcare mininsty.

Hello, my name is Michelle Denison, and this will be my fifth year teaching the Pre-Kindergarten program here at SMKCS.

I was born in New Albany and attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help School until sixth grade. I currently live in Lanesville, with my husband, Travis and our five year old daughter Ella who is in Pre K this year at SMKCS. This will be my ninth year teaching Pre-K, and I couldn’t be more excited!  I previously taught at       Children’s Choice Learning Center in Louisville, and Floyd County Head Start.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University Southeast in 2009. I hope to help guide each child, not only on their academic journey, but their spiritual journey as well. I feel very blessed to get the opportunity to teach at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic School, where God’s word can be shared and discussed.
