4th Grade Teacher
Hello! My name is Jeanne Landrum, and I am beginning my 21st year of teaching in Catholic education. Previously, I taught kindergarten at Sacred Heart in Jeffersonville.
When we opened our doors here at St. Mary of the Knobs in August 2001, I came on board as our Kindergarten teacher.
I have enjoyed classroom experiences in Pre-K, Kindergarten, 3rd grade, and now, 4th grade.
My undergraduate work was completed at Ball State University and Indiana University SE. In 2005 I completed my Master’s Degree in Education at Indiana University SE.
I continue to attend conferences and workshops each year to learn and to grow as an educator. My husband Darin and I have two children, Nick and Syd, and we love
being part of the vibrant faith community here at St. Mary of the Knobs parish.
Darin and I love to spend time with our children, Nick and Syd. Syd turned 14 in March, and she is so excited to be beginning her 9th grade at Floyd Central School!
Nick just turned 17 in April, and he is also very excited to be starting 11th grade at Floyd Central High School. They too love to participate in parish life here at St. Mary of the Knobs.
I am excited to be in 4th grade this year! Fourth grade is a time of great growth and development. We move from “learning to read” to “reading to learn.” We strive to become more responsible, critical thinkers. Our classroom is a safe haven dedicated to learning, growing, and developing to the best of our ability I will strive each day to provide an environment that is safe academically, emotionally, and socially, and my goal is to make our days challenging but also fun and interesting We are looking forward to an exciting, learning-filled, spiritual year!
